Welcome to our farm. Walking J Farm is a diverse, sustainable farm nestled in the watershed of the Santa Cruz River Valley in southern Arizona - a true polyculture farm. We envision our farm as a self-sustaining entity feeding local families and communities in the area with farm fresh meat products and produce. We also see our farm as an educational opportunity and model for diverse farming to all those interested in learning about living off their land and making a living from their land utilizing holistic farming methods. The health of our soils is the foundation of the health of our animals and plants. We manage our pastures with rotational grazing of our cow herd, pastured poultry, and pastured pork. We have been slowly rebuilding our soils in our 1.5 acre garden with compost, effective microorganisms, biodynamic gardening techniques, and manure from the animals. Our farm accepts volunteers and interns, and welcomes tours and schools.
